In 2019, DION ART introduced a unique musical light dry deck fountain in Mariupol, which has become a new attraction in the urban space. This is more than just a fountain—it is a dynamic public art installation where water, light, and music merge into a captivating spectacle.
A Dry Deck Fountain – A New Dimension of Urban Space
The dry deck fountain is one of the most in-demand modern concepts. It allows children and adults to walk freely across the fountain’s surface, play with water jets, and enjoy the coolness while actively interacting with the space. A key advantage of this fountain is its multifunctionality. When turned off, its surface remains flat, enabling the area to be used for city events, concerts, and celebrations. In winter, it can accommodate a Christmas tree or a light installation, making it a versatile and practical urban element. Additionally, the entire system is fully protected against vandalism—its equipment is housed in an underground technical chamber, ensuring durability and safe operation.
Water Dynamics – The Art of Motion
This fountain creates intricate water patterns, controlling each jet individually or in synchronized groups. The high-speed valve technology allows instant synchronization of water movements with music, producing a mesmerizing rhythm. Built-in rotating mechanisms enable water jets to spin around their axis and move side to side, creating the effect of dancing water streams. This combination of advanced technologies makes it possible to program any water show, adapting it to different musical compositions.

The fountain is equipped with 76 RGB LED lights that operate dynamically. Each lighting sequence is synchronized with the water’s movement, creating a living canvas where colors blend and emphasize the shape and energy of the jets. Each light can function individually or as part of a group, allowing flexible control over lighting scenarios while ensuring maximum visual impact with minimal energy consumption.
