Concept and Role in Public Space
“Pulse of Light” is an interactive light-and-sound installation within the field of Public Art, where advanced technologies, architectural form, and human participation merge into a unified artistic experience. The object is conceived as a contemporary focal point for public environments — visually expressive, emotionally engaging, and memorable. It functions not only as a sculptural element, but as a dynamic attractor that activates the surrounding space.
Light as an Architectural Material
The installation takes the form of a выразительный spatial volume with a diameter of 3 meters and a height of 3.5 meters, composed of 30 vertical polycarbonate tubes with integrated lighting. Each tube measures 2 meters in length and 150 mm in diameter, creating a balance between monumentality, cohesion, and visual lightness.
The supporting structure is made of stainless steel, reinforcing the contemporary aesthetic, technological precision, and long-term durability of the object. The illuminated polycarbonate elements generate a soft, deep, and evenly distributed glow, transforming light into an independent artistic medium — pure, насыщенный, and almost tangible.
Interactive Scenario and Human Engagement
The core value of “Pulse of Light” lies in its direct dialogue with people. Each tube is equipped with a sensor that responds instantly to the proximity of a hand. Simultaneously, the installation produces a synchronized sound response through an integrated acoustic system, reinforcing the immersive effect. A simple gesture becomes a complete audiovisual event, where the visitor transitions from observer to participant, experiencing a responsive and reactive environment.
Collective Experience and Autonomous Operation
When multiple users interact with the installation simultaneously, the composition transforms into a collective instrument. Light impulses emerge across different zones, overlap, and create layered visual and sonic patterns. The installation becomes a medium of shared experience — something people naturally want to explore, document, and revisit.
At the same time, “Pulse of Light” operates continuously even without direct interaction.
