AIR BALLOONS is an impressive kinetic installation designed by DION ART specifically for attraction points for airports. This kinetic sculpture combines kinetic art and light installation, creating an atmosphere of freedom, movement, and travel. The hot air balloons featured in the installation symbolize internationality, connecting cultures and nations within a unified artistic space.

Concept and Idea
Inspired by the imagery of hot air balloons traveling across the world, we created a kinetic art installation that conveys the lightness and dynamism of modern travel. In airports, where thousands of people cross paths every day, AIR BALLOONS becomes an interactive kinetic art piece that creates the illusion of floating in the air. It is not just a light sculpture, but a living performance that brings interiors to life.

Movement and Dynamics
The installation consists of 96 moving elements, each smoothly rising and lowering, forming 20 different dynamic patterns. Each balloon has a diameter of 600 mm, with a maximum lowering length of 10 meters. Throughout a 20-minute performance, the balloons continuously transform, creating a mesmerizing kinetic show.

Technical Specifications
The installation spans 31 m x 10 m and includes 96 moving elements equipped with kinetic winches, precisely controlling the movement of each balloon.

Impact on Space
Due to its large scale, AIR BALLOONS serves as a significant interior attraction point for airports, exhibition centers, and museums. It fills the space with an air-like lightness, turning it into a modern attraction point for exhibition centers.
