Concept and Spatial Philosophy

“Prayer for Love” is not merely an installation, but a rare type of urban experience where a person ceases to be a passerby and becomes the central participant. It is a public art object that merges artistic imagery, architectural lighting, sound, and tactile sensation into a unified scenario — a ritual of care and attention.

At the core of the composition stands a circle of 11 guardian figures, embodying a higher form of care and a universal maternal principle. They belong to no religion or culture and have no faces — intentionally, so they are perceived not as characters but as archetypes. They represent a presence that emerges when a person most needs acceptance and inner support.

The number 11 plays a ключевая conceptual role — it represents a threshold, a state between completion and emergence. The circle appears complete, yet remains unfinished without a human presence. That is why the center is left open — not as emptiness, but as meaning. It is an invitation to enter and complete the composition.

The Central Ritual Experience

When the center remains empty, the space gently “breathes” with light, creating a subtle sense of ожидание. This invitation is intuitive and requires no explanation — it is felt.

The moment a person steps into the center, the main scenario begins — the 30-second “Prayer for Love.” The space responds instantly: a surrounding soundscape emerges, resembling a soft choral prayer with breath-like textures and smooth transitions. A delicate vibration rises from the ground, almost imperceptible yet physically present. The light of the guardians unifies into a cohesive pattern, forming a luminous circle around the person.

This experience does not simulate mysticism — instead, it creates a rare state almost absent in modern urban life: a feeling of being accepted, held, and fully seen. For these 30 seconds, the person becomes the center of unconditional attention. Here lies the core value of the installation: love is not described — it is experienced.

Completion and Social Scenario

The ending of the ritual is as carefully designed as its beginning. The sound dissolves into silence, the vibration fades, and the light gently guides the person out of the center. What remains is a natural impulse: to pass this state on.

In this way, the installation evolves beyond an artistic object into a social mechanism. It becomes a place where people, one after another, receive attention, silence, and emotional support. The space operates as a living system of transmission — from one person to the next.

Interaction and Urban Value

Beyond the central ritual, each guardian figure has its own interactive behavior. As a person approaches, it softly activates through light and sound. Upon touch, it responds with subtle combinations of illumination and calm sonic feedback. This is not entertainment, but a refined language of interaction — precise, restrained, and emotionally nuanced.

The installation reaches its full potential through collective participation. Multiple users can engage simultaneously, turning the circle into a single living instrument where each action contributes to a shared composition of light and sound.

Additionally, twice per hour, the installation performs a synchronized light-and-sound sequence, creating a temporal rhythm for the space and encouraging return visits. All scenarios can be adapted to the specific urban context, including quieter evening modes.

As a result, the installation operates on multiple levels:
— as a powerful artistic statement about care,
— as a recognizable urban landmark and point of attraction,
— as a user experience offering something deeply lacking in modern life — silence, attention, acceptance, and inner stability.
