“Waves of Light” is a unique kinetic installation designed by DION ART for Wellness Destination & Event Space Soul Space in Cleveland, Ohio. This project redefines the boundaries of interaction between art, space, and movement, transforming a static interior into a living, breathing light sculpture.

 

At first glance, it appears as a graceful dance of light, but behind it lies a sophisticated system of kinetic winches, allowing 91 light elements to move smoothly through space. These elements are made of innovative plastic with a soft light diffusion effect, giving the composition an organic and airy feel. Controlled by a computerized system, they can create wave-like movements, adapting to the environment and generating various lighting scenarios.

 

Each kinetic sculpture within this installation follows its own rhythm, transforming the space depending on the time of day and activities in the hall. During the daytime, gentle light transitions create a calm ambiance for yoga and meditation, while in the evening, the system shifts into a kinetic show mode, turning the space into a focal point of the interior, filled with the energy of movement and color.
