A Light Art Installation and a Symbol of the City’s Modern Energy

DION ART has created a unique light installation project for one of Georgia’s most vibrant cities — Batumi. This art object combines cutting-edge technology, a contemporary approach to city branding, and artistic aesthetics. The installation is set to become a bright landmark and one of the most photographed spots in the city.

Concept and Philosophy
The main idea of the installation is to show that Batumi is a city that is constantly evolving, changing, and revealing its new sides to both tourists and residents. BATUMI is not just a word; it is a living symbol of the city, breathing with light, color, and motion.

Technology and Materials
The façade of each letter is made of high-quality LED screens, broadcasting smooth, flowing light transitions that create the effect of living letters. The letters stand 2 meters tall, and their contours perfectly match the shape of the LED screens, creating a seamless visual experience.
The letters are made from polished stainless steel, which ensures durability while also beautifully reflecting the surrounding light and environment.

Dandelions — A Symbol of Lightness and Dreams
The installation is surrounded by nine illuminated dandelions, each reaching a height of 4 meters. These airy structures symbolize lightness, dreams, and travel — just like dandelion seeds float in the wind, dreams of new adventures lead people to Batumi.

Day and Night — Two Different Personalities
During the day, the installation shimmers under the sun with mirror-like stainless steel surfaces, while at night it transforms into a light show, drawing attention from every corner of the park. Dynamic lighting scenarios shift and change, creating an atmosphere of celebration, romance, or vibrant energy.
