A Portal Between Earth, Water, and Sacred Art

The “Mandala” art installation was created by DION ART for a private estate in Chicago. This unique object is more than just a decoration — it’s a powerful symbol that harmoniously blends landscape design with spiritual depth.

Concept and Philosophy
The idea behind the Mandala emerged from the desire to create an installation that would not only adorn the estate’s landscape but also remain visually light and airy. The goal was to frame the stunning view of the endless lake, allowing guests to look through the installation and see the water as part of the art itself.

The Mandala holds ancient sacred knowledge, with each line and shape carrying deep symbolic meaning. This transforms the installation into a spiritual anchor, enriching the space with an invisible yet powerful energy — the connection between nature, human creativity, and timeless wisdom.

Design and Materials
The installation is crafted from high-quality stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to weather conditions. It is coated with a special paint that enhances its appearance and provides additional protection. The combination of polished steel, subtle colors, and delicate detailing creates a sense of transparency, almost as if the Mandala is woven from light itself.

Special LED fixtures are embedded inside the installation, allowing it to transform after sunset into a radiant night sculpture. The lighting can shift between different colors, reflecting the mood of the space — from serene white to deep blue, echoing the lake’s surface.

Symbolism and Energy
The Mandala is not just art — it’s a portal connecting the earth on which it stands, the water seen through its open patterns, and the human creativity that gave birth to this piece. It symbolizes harmony between the elements, reminding us that beauty lies in balance.

With its intricate design based on sacred geometry, the Mandala invites viewers to pause, reflect, and become part of the larger story of the place. It encourages guests to see not just the beauty of the landscape, but to feel the presence of something greater — a sense of inner peace and timeless connection to the world.
